Aint She Teat

Under the watchful eye of her two ton mum, this new born rare black rhino calf takes her first feed of milk after her amazing birth on Christmas Eve.

The new arrival at Germany's Magdeburg Zoo has not been named yet until keepers have had a chance to weigh up her character.

In fact, they're not even completely sure she's a girl because her 30-year-old proud mum Mana hasn't let them get close enough to see yet.

'She's a very good, very protective mother. You certainly wouldn't want to upset her. We think she's given birth to a girl but we won't know for certain until we can get closer," explained one keeper.

The week-old youngster - critically endangered in the wild -will be kept away from visitors until keepers are certain that she and her mum have built a solid bond, but fans can watch them round the clock thanks to a webcam in their enclosure.
