Bomb Park

Police are baffled after live heavy artillery shells were found in a picnic park in Dillenburg, Germany.

Just a few days earlier a hand grenade had been found in the same park.

The three tank shells were meant for a tank's artillery. It is thought they had been lying for quite a while in the family park and were covered in long grass when spotted.

A police spokesman said: "The army has been asked to help us trace the origins - in the meantime we can't rule out that other munitions might be in the area and are urging people to be cautious."
