This dozy British beer fan found what must be one of the worst spots in the world to drop off on - wedged between two carriages on a 190 mph express train.

He was only rescued when passengers at the station in Munich, Germany, spotted him five minutes before the train pulled out and alerted police.

The British reveller had passed out after tucking himself into the narrow gap when he couldn't remember how to get to his hotel after a day's drinking at the city's Oktoberfest beer festival.

"If he hadn't been noticed he would certainly have fallen onto the track once the train got moving and would be dead by now," said one officer.
